About This Project
Improving Immunization Rates through Partnerships
Improving Adult Immunization Rates for COVID‐19, Influenza, and Routine Adult Vaccinations through Partnerships with Medical Subspecialty Professional Societies and the Long‐Term Care Professional Society is a project aiming to enhance vaccination coverage among adults, particularly in high-risk populations, by fostering strategic partnerships with medical subspecialty professional societies and the Long-Term Care Professional Society. This initiative focuses on improving adult immunization rates for critical vaccines, including COVID-19, influenza, and other routine adult vaccinations. By leveraging the expertise and networks of these professional organizations, the project seeks to raise awareness, educate healthcare providers, and promote vaccination as a key strategy for preventing infectious diseases. Through these partnerships, the project will develop targeted outreach, resources, and training to ensure broader and more effective vaccination efforts in clinical and long-term care settings, ultimately improving public health outcomes and reducing disease burden in vulnerable populations.
Aim 1
Increase Vaccination Awareness and Education Among Healthcare Providers
This aim focuses on partnering with medical subspecialty professional societies and the Long-Term Care Professional Society to develop and distribute targeted educational materials and resources that highlight the importance of COVID-19, influenza, and routine adult vaccinations. By training healthcare providers and staff in long-term care settings, we aim to enhance their knowledge about vaccine efficacy, safety, and the benefits of adult immunizations, ultimately leading to improved vaccination practices in clinical environments.
Aim 2
Enhance Access to Vaccines for High-Risk Adult Populations
This aim seeks to increase vaccine accessibility by promoting collaborations between healthcare providers and community-based organizations, particularly those serving long-term care facilities and vulnerable adult populations. Through these partnerships, we will establish more convenient vaccination delivery methods, such as in-home vaccination services and on-site vaccine clinics, to reduce barriers to access for high-risk adults, ensuring they receive timely vaccinations for COVID-19, influenza, and other routine vaccines.
